Get found by customers searching right now
When someone types "plumber near me" or "roof repair in new milford," they're ready to buy. SEO is how you show up at that exact moment, and unlike ads, the traffic keeps coming after the work is done. It compounds over time.
There are four places your customers find you
Local search isn't one list anymore. Someone looking for a contractor in New Milford might see a map with three businesses on it, a page of regular results below that, an AI-written answer above everything, or a set of questions Google thinks they meant to ask. Each one is won differently, and a business that only shows up in one of them is leaving the other three to competitors.
That's the work: making sure your business is the obvious answer no matter which of those a customer happens to land on.
If you run a home service business, see our approach to SEO for contractors across Litchfield County and Connecticut. Learn how home service businesses get found on Google.
The map
The three businesses shown on Google's map are chosen on distance, relevance, and reputation. Distance isn't something anyone can change. The rest is. A properly built Google Business Profile, consistent information everywhere Google checks, and real reviews are what put you in contention every time you're close enough to compete.
The search results
Below the map is the regular list, and it isn't bound by proximity. This is where a business reaches the whole county rather than the few miles around it, earned through pages built for what people actually search and a site Google can read properly.
AI answers
More people now ask ChatGPT or read Google's AI summary instead of clicking anything. Those answers get assembled from your profile, your reviews, and your site's content. Structured correctly, your business gets named. Structured badly, a competitor does.
Your reputation
Reviews decide rankings and they decide clicks. A business with 40 reviews beats one with 6 in both places. Getting them consistently, and answering them, is ongoing work rather than a one-time fix.
SEO done the right way
I use professional SEO, analytics, and competitive research tools to understand where you stand, what customers are searching for, and where the best opportunities are.
Rankings are earned through solid content and technical work, not tricks that get you penalized later. You get real strategy and clear reporting, not a checklist someone outsourced overseas. Whether you need local SEO in New Milford or SEO anywhere in Connecticut, the work is the same: earned rankings that last and help build your business.
What it costs
Most SEO pricing is deliberately vague. Here's mine. Every plan starts with the same foundation project, because there's no point posting to a Google Business Profile that's set up wrong or optimizing a site nobody's audited. After that, you pick how much ongoing work makes sense for your business.
SEO Foundation & Action Plan
$750 one time
Before anything ongoing, I audit what you've got and fix what's broken. This is the real work, and it's the same for everyone.
- Full technical audit of your site: speed, mobile, indexing, structure
- Google Business Profile audit, cleanup, and full optimization
- Business listings checked and corrected across the major directories
- Local keyword and service-area research for your specific business
- Competitor snapshot showing who's actually beating you and why
- Structured data so Google and AI assistants understand who you are
- Tracking set up so we can both see what's working
- A written report and a call to walk you through it
Want the plan without the retainer? Buy the Foundation on its own. You get the report and the prioritized action list, written so you or your web person can work through it. If you decide to go ongoing later, there's nothing further to pay for setup. The Foundation is already done, and you simply start the monthly plan. I'd want to refresh it after about six months, since the data goes stale.
Local Presence
$375/mo
Requires Foundation. 6-month minimum.
Keeps you visible and keeps your profile working. Right-sized for a business in a quiet market that needs to hold its ground, not fight for it.
- Google Business Profile managed monthly: posts, photos, Q&A
- Every review responded to, good and bad
- Business listings monitored and corrected
- One page optimized each month
- Rankings and traffic, reported regularly
- Call or email me directly. I answer, any day
Honest note: this is maintenance. It keeps your profile active and your listings clean, and for a lot of local businesses that's genuinely enough. If you need to outrank someone, look at Local Growth.

Market Leader
Let's talk
Foundation scoped separately. 6-month minimum.
Competitive markets, multiple locations, or a business that wants to own its category across Litchfield County and beyond. Scope and price built around what you're actually up against.
Tell me what you're working with and I'll scope it.
What you won't find here
No contracts that roll on forever. Six months, then month to month. No "unlimited" anything, because unlimited always means whatever's easiest that month. No junior in a queue, no ticket system. The person doing the work is the person who answers the phone, and I answer it.
I'll also tell you if SEO isn't your problem. If your site converts badly or your market's too small to be worth optimizing, that's a different conversation, and I'd rather have it in week one than month six.
Run SEO and ads together, and save
SEO compounds but it takes months. Google Ads works this week but stops the day you stop paying. Run them together and the ads carry you while the SEO builds. Then, as your rankings come in, you can pull ad spend off the terms you now own for free.
The discount isn't a gimmick. Running both genuinely costs me less: one tracking setup instead of two, one reporting cycle, one conversation. You get the savings that come from that. See Google Ads management for the full ad pricing.
The combined rate
10% off your combined monthly fee
Applied to whichever tiers you are on, so the saving grows as the work does.
$1,450 setup instead of $1,700
The SEO Foundation and the Campaign Build overlap on conversion tracking, analytics, and keyword research. Buying them together means you only pay for that work once.
Why it actually works better
Ads tell you within weeks which searches turn into paying customers. That's information SEO normally takes six months to learn, and it's the single most useful input for deciding which pages to build and which terms are worth chasing.
Run separately, the two efforts guess at each other. Run together, the ad data points the SEO work at terms already proven to convert, and as those terms start ranking the ad budget moves somewhere new instead of paying for clicks you'd now get anyway.
Questions people ask
How long until I see something?
Three to six months for meaningful movement, with things compounding after that. Google Business Profile work sometimes shows up faster. Map improvements can land in weeks. Anyone promising page one in 30 days is selling something else.
Why the setup fee?
Because the first month is three or four times the work of a normal month, and folding that into a monthly rate means either overcharging you forever or cutting corners at the start. Separating it keeps both of us honest.
Can I just buy the audit?
Yes. You get the full report and a prioritized action list you can execute yourself or hand to your web person. You'll own the plan either way. If you start a monthly plan afterward, you don't pay for setup twice. The Foundation is already done and you just begin the monthly fee.
What counts as a “page” in the monthly plan?
Whatever's most useful that month. Sometimes it's a service page you don't have yet, sometimes a page targeting a nearby town, sometimes an article answering a question your customers keep asking. Some businesses need eight service pages built and then almost nothing; others need steady content. The count is fixed so you know what you're paying for. What goes in it is decided by what will actually help.
Do you track phone calls?
Only if you want it. Call tracking runs on a paid service and needs setting up and watching, so it is an add-on rather than something folded into every plan. It is $95/mo, covering the tracking numbers and the time to manage them. Plenty of local businesses do fine without it, and I will tell you if I think you are one of them.
What if I already have a website guy?
That's fine and pretty common. I'll work with them or around them, whichever you prefer. The Foundation report is written to be handed off.
Do I have to sign for six months?
For monthly plans, yes. SEO doesn't produce results in eight weeks, and a three-month engagement mostly wastes your money and my time. After six months it's month to month.
Will my price go up later?
Not unless the scope changes. There is no introductory rate that climbs after twelve months. If your business grows into a bigger tier we would talk about that first, and you would decide.
Do you work outside Litchfield County?
Yes, anywhere in Connecticut. The local work is the same; only the map changes.
